Value You Can Measure
AMECO changes the game for tools with the ability to provide a fully managed program that includes dedicated personnel to manage, procure, and distribute non-expendable tools, expendable tools and supplies, consumable supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies sitewide.
- Cost Certainty: Know the total true cost of tools up front with a fixed unit rate per craft hour that is held throughout the life of the project. The rate includes everything: staffing, administration, freight, mobilization, logistics, tracking, inspection, and maintenance.
- Expertise like no other: You can depend on AMECO expertise like no other. From expert site managers to buying power with manufacturers and vendors to tool management technology– it all translates into savings for your project. Our tool experts proactively inventory tools onsite and in AMECO warehouses, so we are never reacting, and you are never without the right tools. We know which tools each craft person needs, and we make sure they have them.
- Protection against tool loss, theft, and abuse: On a typical construction project, the tool loss average is approximately 12 percent. On AMECO projects, tool loss averages 5 percent. Not only do we use proven processes, expertise, and a strong supply chain to help reduce tool loss, we are able to keep track of where tools are located with proprietary knowledge, technology, and ways of working that reduce costs associated with tool loss leakage.
- Sustainability and safety enhancements: Tool inspection, repair, replacement, and/or replenishment of worn out or broken tools is included in our tool programs. Well-maintained tools are the safest tools, and tool repair eliminates unnecessary waste. Tool tethering is also available to support “Stop the Drop” safety initiatives. Training is also available when new tools are provided onsite.
AMECO can ensure that the tools on site will meet the needs of the project through our Tool Watch program. Tool Watch allows us to track tool usage to manage waste, theft, and misuse, while also allowing our tool experts to ensure that tools are well maintained and replaced should a tool become damaged. This ultimately leads lower tool costs for our clients.
AMECO’s unique tool programs have an added benefit to improve site safety and sustainability. Tools are inspected and replaced when damaged, which improves craft worker safety. And when tools can be repaired, they are repaired by our team of certified repair technicians who bring the tools back up to spec for use in the field. This inspect-and-repair process leads cost savings for clients and improved sustainability as tools have a longer useful life and stay out of landfills.
